Capped off by the blinds, the view
from the bedroom window slightly
better than the view from the office–
Whirlwind of wonder as the sun’s
corona blazes down finally
on this spring Saturday of COVID 19.
And the child splashes through
her sprinkler with her beach ball
bouncing down the driveway.
Unaware, wave after wave of new protocols
and worries that threaten life
and livelihoods, the children splash
and splash.
