Gettysburg Ghosts

He climbed the hill in his Saturn
sedan
Not far from the Peach farm then
And felt the heavens part
A bit, and several eyes peered in–
The battlefield shone green today
As soldiers lay within
But Teddy tourist felt the
loss of the dying, gaping men
Long ago in lands unknown the warriors
fought for good
And unbeknownst to Ted that day
Their sacrifice still stood.
